1. Who we are
Kid Play ("the App") is a free educational mobile application published by Teachfly Educare Pvt Ltd ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@testmate.in for any privacy-related question.
2. Information we collect
The App does not ask for, collect, or transmit any personal information such as a name, address, email, phone number, or location. There are no accounts and no sign-up.
2.1 Information stored only on the device
- Simple learning progress (which letters, numbers, and games your child has explored)
- Any family photos you choose to add in the Family Tree
- Basic app settings (such as sound on/off)
This data is stored locally using the device's standard storage and is never transmitted to us or any server. Uninstalling the App removes all of it.
3. Family Tree photos
Kid Play includes an optional Family Tree where a parent or child can add photos of family members and tap a face to hear the name. To make this possible, the App can access the device's camera and photo library — but only at the moment you choose to add a photo, and only for the photo you pick or take.
- Photos are saved only on your device.
- Photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party.
- Removing a family member, or uninstalling the App, deletes the photos.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays banner ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver age-appropriate ads, AdMob may receive limited technical signals such as device type, OS version, language, coarse (non-precise) region derived from IP address, and crash/diagnostic data.
Because Kid Play is a child-directed app, we configure AdMob with
tagForChildDirectedTreatment = true, restrict ad content
to a "G" maximum rating, and request
non-personalized ads only. Ads are not based on a
user's interests or behaviour profile, and appear only on passive
screens — never during a game or learning activity.

5. Information we do not collect
- No accounts, no sign-up, no login
- No analytics SDK that profiles individual users
- No microphone or voice recording
- No precise GPS location
- No contacts or files from the device
- No uploading of the photos you add — they never leave the device
6. Permissions the App requests
- Internet — required only to load banner ads from Google AdMob.
- Camera & Photos — optional. Requested only when you choose to add a family photo in the Family Tree. The photo stays on your device.
- Notifications (Android 13+) — optional. Used only to deliver a gentle daily learning reminder if enabled. The runtime permission prompt appears at that moment. We never send marketing notifications.
7. Speech (text-to-speech)
Some screens use the device's built-in text-to-speech engine to read words aloud (for example "A for Apple"). We do not record, transmit, or store any audio, and we do not use the microphone.
8. Children's privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
The App is intended for young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any user, including children under 13 (US) or under 16 (EU). If you believe your child has somehow provided personal information through the App, please contact us at support@testmate.in and we will promptly address it.
9. Third-party services
The App relies on the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob — advertising, configured for child-directed treatment. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Play Services — required by AdMob. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Play In-App Review — an Android system sheet that lets a parent rate the App on Google Play without leaving Kid Play. We never see the rating or review text. Google Privacy Policy
10. Data retention & deletion
All app data — including learning progress and any Family Tree photos — lives on the device until you remove it or uninstall the App. We don't store any user data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
11. Security
Because no personal data or photos leave the device, the risk of a data breach involving our App is minimal. Ad-related data is handled by Google's systems, which use industry-standard security practices.
12. International users
The App is available worldwide. By using the App, you understand that ad-related data may be processed by Google in the United States or other jurisdictions where Google operates.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected in an updated Play Store listing.
